Founder, Director
James Montgomery
Starting at MIT nearly 15 years ago, James has been a leader for software development in the OTHR community. Graduating as Valedictorian, he pursued an undergraduate education in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science focused on software-defined radio. He later received his M.S. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, finishing in the top rank of his program.
The architect of the government’s Horizon software, James has led software teams to repeated success in OTHR and HF missions across more than a dozen government programs. As the Founder of Skywave Labs, James brings his extensive background in radar, software, artificial intelligence, and engineering to tackle the next generation of defense challenges.
